Barthan Restoration Furniture

Dominique Huret ran the most successful antique restoration, refinishing and furniture servicing business in Washington, D. C. for thirty years and built his business by word of mouth referrals only. Prior to opening his own business in the heart of Washington in 1978, Huret apprenticed with his father, a Parisian trained cabinet maker for eight years. In an article by Washingtonian Magazine he is listed as the “go to” person for furniture restoration, refinishing and repair.

  • “He has done work for three secretaries of State: Colin Powell, Madeleine Albright, and James Baker. But Huret fixes things for regular folks.” (Washingtonian Magazine, May 2005)
  • “Huret works on many antiques, but unlike most restorers with his experience, he does not specialize in one particular style or period.” (Washingtonian Magazine, May 2005)

In July, 2007, Huret sold his business in Washington, DC, relocated to Florida where his new business, Bartram Furniture Restoration, Inc., will serve clientele throughout Florida and Georgia.
